1. Who we are

byzzleads (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the byzzleads platform at byzzleads.com. We are a data controller in respect of the personal data we collect about you as a buyer. For questions about this policy, contact us at hello@byzzleads.com.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account data: email address, business name, and preferences you provide on registration and in your buyer profile
• Transaction data: payment amounts, top-up history, credit balance, and VAT records
• Usage data: log data, IP address, browser and device information collected automatically when you use the Platform
• Communications: emails sent to and received from you regarding leads, billing, and support

We do not collect sensitive personal data (as defined under UK GDPR) about buyers.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Create and manage your buyer account
• Match and deliver leads to your account
• Process payments and issue VAT receipts
• Handle replacement requests
• Send transactional emails (lead delivery, billing, account notices)
• Comply with legal obligations (tax records, fraud prevention)
• Improve the Platform and prevent misuse

Our lawful bases are: contract performance (delivering the service you signed up for), legal obligation (VAT and accounting records), and legitimate interests (fraud prevention, platform improvement).

4. Data sharing

We share your data with:

• Stripe— payment processing (subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy)
• Clerk — authentication and identity management
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Neon / Vercel — database and hosting infrastructure
• Sentry — error monitoring, to help us detect and fix issues with the service

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for the duration of your account and for 7 years thereafter to comply with UK tax and accounting obligations. Transaction records are retained for 7 years. Lead delivery data is retained for 2 years.

6. International transfers

Our infrastructure providers (Vercel, Neon, Clerk, Resend, Stripe, Sentry) may process your data outside the UK or EEA. Where this occurs, transfers are made under appropriate safeguards (UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses).

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request erasure (subject to legal retention obligations)
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability
• Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)

8. Cookies

We use session cookies required for authentication (via Clerk). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can control cookies via your browser settings, though disabling authentication cookies will prevent you from logging in.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
